New to the Diesel world

well im new to the diesel world and my question what is th differnce between the 04 and 04.5 trucks and how can you tell which one is which any help would be great thanks

Ppo your hood there is a motor plate/sticker on the driver side of the motor read it if it says 305hp it's a 04 if it says 325 its a 04.5
