Need a quick answer about U-joints

Do you have to pull the outer front u-joints off to get to the Ball joints? I grabbed mine earlier today and they wiggled around just a little so they need to be replaced right? I was just wondering cause the ball joints are about to be done and if its in the process I'll just have them put in new u-joints

Yes, the hub assembly has to be removed first, probably the hard part of the job. then the axles, then the ball joints. ujoints can be checked once axle is out, but if never been changed, might as well get them done now and not have to rip it apart again later to do them. Antiseize the heck out of the hub assembly so next time easier.
