Need help please
alright well i did some tinkering today while waiting for the turkey to be done, started checking all my grounds everywhere, couldn't find anything loose. Unhooked the batteries and turned the key to on cause i was told that clears the memory of everything. While looking for bad grounds i saw that the wire coming from my tranny temp prob to the module was just lying there not screwed in. So i put that in and tightened it down. Hooked the batteries back up and key fob worked great, truck started up, no blinker problems, no airbag light. Went for a 25 mile drive, not a single problem, even had the blinkers on for like 5 miles lol. Came home key fobbed locked and unlocked the doors the first try. So i guess its fixed.

by about 10k miles. But thats why i was avoiding dealer cause with something like this they might just throw parts at it, and with computer stuff it ain't gonna be cheap and don't know what i will do if they hand me a 2-3k dollar bill. I know you pay to play but nothing that i put on my truck caused a stupid can bus problem cause thats what i am thinking it is
You know there are dealers that have good techs that fix that kind of stuff on a regular basis.Call around and spend a $100 bucks on some checkout and see what they say.You can guess and speculate all you want but until its looked at that's all you'll get is guessing.
well i scheduled a appointment for the dealer near me for monday morning. I am hoping that with there 8k dollar computer they can look thru my ecm and find out what the heck its doing lol.
still awaiting the call from the dealer. They called me telling me they needed 3 hours to find a short somewhere, said it normally wouldn't be that long but with all my accessories and gauges it might take a while. He said there was like 10 codes stored in it but the check engine light wasn't on lol. So just crossing my fingers cause i am already up to over 500 bucks.
Well one of the connectors that goes to ground on the TIPM corroded. They tried to clean it and it fell off. So a new TIPM module is now needed. So there is another 600 bucks. Looks like i ramen noodles and mac and cheese for me until i get paid again.
