Need help Changing '06 Cluster

Ok. I have searched and found info on how to get the cluster out to repair my tach. I have a manual trans and following instructions I found in my search the center surround piece (around the stereo and climate should come out after removing the two screws from the underside of the surround piece. (I will also add it is a Laramie and it has the heated seat switches and rear sliding window switch in the surround piece.)

After all of this disassembly the center surround piece does not want to budge. I have removed everything that I could including knee bolster, cup holder on floor, shifter surround and boot and the piece behind the boot surround where the center surround screws are. I have pryed the left side of the cluster bezel free but the center surround is holding the right side in place. HELP! Why won't the center surround piece come free????

Question: to remove the cluster does the battery have to be disconnected and if so why? Will I loose all stereo, sat, and navigation info?

Thank you to anyone that can help me!!

Those two screws are all the fasteners that holds the radio A/C surround in. Then its just a series of push in clips. Take the 2 screws out and then pry the surround free. those clips hold it pretty tight. Grab it by the lower left corner and pull pry it out. Seems like its gonna break before it lets go, but it'll let go. I was thinking ...theres something else that has to be holding it... There not it will just pull out after those 2 screws.

Got it out just like you said! the cluster was shipped to Mr. Whizzard today fro the tach repair. The quoted turnaround time including shipping is 2 weeks. I'll give a report of this repair service when I get re-installed.

Yeah, boy it was on there tight. But once I got behind it with some tools it came out. thanks again!
