muffler bypass pipe size?

I want to sample the sound of my 04 w/o the muffler . I just want to take it out and put in a straight tube. Can anyone tell me the size and availability? It looks like 3 1/2" but my local shops only carry 3" max

the exhaust is 3.5", one of my friends runs a muffler shop and he has this size pipe in stock, he just took my muffler off and replaced it with the 3.5" pipe only took a few mins

Its 3.5 in and 4 out. I just put a piece of 4" in place of my muff and man do I love it. It's a real attention grabber.

I replace mind with a 4" pipe. Here is what I did. If you have a big Diesel truck place like were they work on Big trucks and trailers go there and ask them to sell you a 4' joint of pipe. Mine cost like $ 20.00, Then went to mufflershop and they cut the big ol garbage can muffler off and replaced it with the 4" piece. Don't forget to ask them for your muffler back just in case. Fuel mileage went up and the throttle response was just to good afterwards.

Actually the stock muffler is 3 1/2" in & 3 1/2" out.
the pipe from the turbo to the muffler is 3 1/2" & the tail pipe is 4" but the connecton at the muffler is 3 1/2".
I cut off the 3 1/2" part of the tail pipe (I cut about 4" off) & used a 3 1/2" to 4" adaptor on the turbo pipe so I could use a 4" in & 4" out muffler.
