Mega Cab Running Boards
Mega Cab Running Boards
I am looking for some running boards for my 2008 Mega Cab. I really like the Challenger 5" black running boards that I found here.

I was just wondering if anyone has used these and what they thought of them? If you have pics of these on your truck I would appreciate seeing a picture of it!! How easy is the install?
Thanks
Brian

Were those a direct bolt on with no drilling?
You can bolt them on without drilling, but there not as sturdy (ie. I wouldn't want a 200lb person stepping on them)
They use the body plugs with a L shapped bracket, steel plate goes inside the body plug, and bolts to the L bracket. I would think the body plugs would flex if you don't drill.
I drilled mine, the lower lip, sealed it so it wouldn't rust, its very sturdy.
There are 4 L brackets, each one requires 2 holes, so that 8 holes per side.
I don't like drilling, but I'm not gonna pay $450 for the drilless ones, every one I looked at used body plugs as a mounting point, could never find the frame mounted ones
