I was thinking about buying a mega cab dually to put a 40 ft. trailer with. I hot shot and was wondering if anyone had any info as to how they pull seems like it might be a little different since the bed is shorter, just looking for some thoughts .

 

The truck is still a long wheel base like the QC long bed. It will pull about the same. However, the MC has less load capacity due to the increase weight of the larger cab. The short bed may also interfere with the turning radius of a fifth wheel trailer.

 

buy a slider hitch from pullrite or a company called hitchhiker out of canada and pull all day long.

 

see guys around here dragging gn around all the time just watch jackkniffing it or you will hit the cab

 

its not a problem at all, I pull a gooseneck and a 36ft fifth wheel converted to a gooseneck. I also have a 51 gallon aux fuel tank in the bed. Ball is a B&W mounted in the recommended location.
