Max Bed Load wt. on 2500 QC?

Can I get away with hauling 2500 lbs in the bed of my bone stock 2500 QC shortbed?

Yep, it will sag pretty good, but that amount of weight is no problem.

I've put over 3500lbs. of oilfield equipment in the bed of my '08. I have airbags, however. Your axles are rated for it, check to see what your tires are rated for, and take your truck to a scale empty to see how much weight is on the back axle unloaded. Then you will know how much you can safely and legally haul in the bed of the truck.

The factory capacity ratings aren't worth the paper they are printed on. Weight your truck, subtract that from your front and rear axle ratings, that's what you can haul. Only thing you have to consider is you need to get some on the front if your getting neat max or you'll overload the rear axle.

Dodge's ratings for a 2500/3500 are different, same axles, same suspension, only 3500's have overloads. It is retarded. My GVW is 10,000lbs I believe, axle ratings 11,450lbs I believe. My tires and rims are good for more then that, so I am good for that much. 10,000lbs would mean I can't haul squat, considering I am 9,000 full of diesel......
