I'll 4'th an 5'th the Bridgestone Dueler AT Revos best I ever had up here on snow and ice....2'nd to studs...not so soft that they wear out as fast as the Blizzacks (sp) put they don't get as stiff/hard as other brands in colder temps.

I've ran Nitto Terra Grapplers for a while, they work well in the snow, rain and are quiet on the road; I got 42k/mi out of my last set of Terra Grapplers.

13MWZ,

What rims are you running, are those painted stock rims?

My "plastic" chrome rims are in horrible shape.

Thanks

I was talking to a person today who has them on his 2500 and he said that the Bridgestone Dueler A/T were nice and had good traction but have a soft sidewall when towing heavy.

Yea man, I ripped the chrome crap off and painted them. My chrome was pitted and ugly anyway.

I bought a set of Pirelli scorpions for my 2wd dually 3500.. We recently went on a 2800 km round trip through the mountains in some pretty bad winter driving conditions, 8% grades, packed snow, black ice, and pulling a 26 foot car hauler behind the truck. I had a set of chains with me, but never had to use them, these tires are very good tires. Everyone told me that a 2wd dually was murder in winter. So far this truck has been great with these tires. At one point we had to stop on the road in about 8" of snow up a hill, truck pulled away no problem.
There are lots of choices for tires, there are a lot of other good tires, but I will vouch for the pirelli's.

I have a set of these- 285/75/16's. They absolutely stink in mud and wet grass, but they do very good in snow. Given that I am in mud/wet grass more, I would not have them again.
They will haul a load, though, without squashing or swaying.
