hey guys, i just sold by cummins and now i am looking for a crew cab. how do you guys like the cr ctd's and the roominess of the dodge vs. a 99-03 7.3powerstroke crew cab. and what are some of the major problems you have had with your truck. not trying to bash dodge at all, but my first was definately a learning experience as far as vp-44's, front ends, etc...

 

the only major problem i have had and have with the cr motor is the injectors, as far as how delicate they are and how much they cost. the 03 and up is not as roomy as the ford

 

If you're looking for roomy, I love my Megacab!!

 

I never had any problems with my 04 or 07 mega, both 5.9l there are some injector issues, Ive never had any, about 230k between the 2 of them. both have the 48re which seems to hold well. the mega has been a 5thwheel hauler with 80k on it so problems. the 04 hauls a bobcat 3 days a week. and they updated the steering boxs and linkages, all of it is a lot stronger.

 

yea i think i will have more room in the ford too. I just hate to go to another brand especially because of the information made so readily avaliable on this site. I will not be able to afford the mega cab and i dont really like the way they look myself. I am torn btw the two right now

 

I know where there is a really nice Atlantic Blue 05 4x4 SB SLT for sale. It's in Baltimore and has around 80,000 miles on it. NO MODS EVER!!! I almost bought it but I really wanted a Green truck this time. I know he's really motivated to sell it.....

 

I just got rid of my 99' for injection pump and lift pump issues, my front end was wore out and i just didnt want to deal with it anymore, I would never get another 2nd gen, got my 04' common rail, automatic and love it
