my parking lights use to flash when i locked and unlocked the doors in my truck with the remote. is there anyway to turn the feature back on? I know I have done other stuff like turn the seat belt chime off. but i can find in the owners manual where to turn thei feature on and off.

any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated.

I don't recall the pattern, but it's in your manual, some of the 06's had a different pattern and they would put a tag on your rearview mirror with the new instructions when you first purchased the truck.

Mine was built 11/05 and my manual was wrong and they threw away the correct instructions when they detailed my truck...I found the instructions on-line here. Do a search for horn disable you may find it, hopefully someone remembers if you don't find it.

 

thats the thing, the horn still beeps.

 

Mine was also built 11/05 and it came with a pamphlet explaining customer programmable features.

1. Perform this operation while standing outside the vehicle
2. Press and hold the UNLOCK button on your key
3. Continue to hold the UNLOCK button at least four (4) seconds but no longer than ten (10) seconds, then press and hold the LOCK button while still holding the UNLOCK button
4. Release both buttons at the same time

This should do it for you.
