Kelderman Rear Air Bag Setup
Kelderman Rear Air Bag Setup
Has anyone on this forum used that Kelderman setup where the rear or the back springs suspend through an airbag setup. Looks pretty good to me as one would pump it up for loads and reduce pressure for empty for a luxury ride. Right now with my 5 th wheel on it sounds like the rear is going to fall out when I hit sharp bumps such as bad railway crossings or big potholes. The only thing that has to be modified on the truck is removal of the upper shackle brackets attached to the chassis and if you have overload springs those leafs have to be removed or disabled.
I welcome any feedback

I don't personally have them but a guy at church does and loves them. He has those and overload bags both on the truck. He can make it ride soft or inflate both sets of bags when it's loaded.
Actually spoke with a Calgary based spring company called Standens. Spoke with their tech guy and what we came up with was I would reduce my rear leaf count to 3 leafs and run Firestone airbags controlled from the cab. We will remove the overloads as well so should get a 1/2 ton ride. We will leave the rebound spring in for safety.
