just bit upset

Probably my own fault, But found a beautiful truck. had a few ver minor hail dents. I mean. I wasnt worried about it at all. Told me theyd knock 3k off the price, if i fixed if for 800 at the dealership. Im like heck ahead 2400 why not. Came back today. It looks like they took a hammer and punch and popped them backwards, Then the paint cracked in two places. Needless to say i gave them a call( truck was delivered) and But, they come back, thats what we meant that youll still notice. Im like well before i t had lil dings now it has cracked paint We gotta fix this i didnt just give you thatk inda oney for cracked paint. SO its going back to their body shop next week. Pry gonna get repained i hope. Dont wanna lose the factory paint but as long as its got the warrenty.

I'd bet they can paint the truck even better than it was factory if they have a mind to. How can I say this...Become pals with the body shop man before you make the appt. and show some interest in their craftsmanship. If they say they will pay for the labor if you'll pay for the materials, you're still looking at close to $500 if they sand the entire truck. Offer to help remove trim, headlights, taillights, grill and to help mask the glass and plastic that doesn't get painted could go along way here. But it's more likely they'll agree to painting the roof, hood and tops of fenders and doors, tops of the bed. Keep us posted. Nat

The bodyshop paint could be as good or better than the factory.

Lessons learned:
- Great deals typically have a catch. Maybe not a big one, but something that will be some hassle for you.
- Don't pay/sign until the problems are taken care of to your satisfaction.
