It's Here - Got it Home

Yes - the wait is finally over....no more Mr. Whiner

Everything checked out good - no mistakes on the order.

One thing I've noticed allready is a growly noise from the engine when lugged below 1000 rpm - like in a parking lot & such. The engine is very quite other than when lugged low - then it kind of has the diesle rattle/growl....is this what other 6 speed trucks are doing ?

Re:It's Here - Got it Home

MisterKTM, excellent news that you have your truck. I'm only 2 weeks into my order and climbing the walls in anticipation . Did you order the optional on/off road tires? I expected to get Michelins instead of Goodyears, but I'm seeing BF Goodrich tires on dealer lot trucks listing this option, which sounds great to me. Same Patriot Blue/Silver color combo that I'm ordering, cool! If you can, please post some pictures of your new rig.

Hey TinJim - welcome to the club . I have the same color truck as you ordered. Trust me you will like it. If you want to see a pic of it, another member of this site named "bulabula" had posted a pic of his a while back, it also is the pat. blue/silver. Maybe he could repost it or you could try sending him a private message. The truck will be worth the wait, trust me...

Sure glad all that moaning and groaning is over.

Sounds like you are hearing the same thing I commented about. I don't let mine get below 1000 rpms, but I definitely hear it up to about 1500. Sort of a rattle (and this is not a Ferd). Very quiet, but different from the normal sounds. I hear it when coming around a corner and dropping down to third.

Bob

Definately having fun now ;D Dodge made a pretty nice rig. Turbo lag is pretty lengthly - I'm thinking of freeing up the intake and exhaust allready to cut the lag time down.

I'll try to figure out how to post a picture, i took some digitals this morning.

Wow the loooooong wait is over, at last
What a great looking truck. I dig the color combo! Looks just like the one I ordered.

Mine came in Tuesday, but it's still at the dealer 8 miles from here. Tried to get it yesterday, but dealer decided to screw me over. Looks like it will be there indefinitely :'( Read the sad story here (starting mid-page).
