Irate 600 owner!

My brother and I both have '03CTD's. We stopped in at a dealer today to get my rear dif. topped up and look at a few accessories. A guy had pulled up with his brand new CTD. Brother commented to him that he had a great looking truck. He started telling my brother that it's the biggest piece of %$#@! he's ever owned. (he's owned CTD's before) He said his truck not only launches on its own but builds up high rpm's and really takes off by itself. He said the paint is fogged and he's sure the dealer or someone else has repainted it in one area.(Didn't he notice it when he picked it up? Could have been dark out??) Then he started yelling as load as he could that the dealer won't do anything to help him, never by a Dodge, #%$@&%^!! and on and on! It was not a pleasant experience. Apparently he's been back several times, and nothing is fixed. (Canada does not have the lemon laws.) I guess when you shell out $50000 for a vehicle somethings can really be frustrating. (He also said his fuel economy is terrible.)

From: Thanks Don M!
There is arbitration in Canada as long as the vehicle is not registered commercially.

I never looked in my 04 manual but my 98 and 01 had the info at the back of the Canadian owners manual.

I can relate to his frustration...I had the same thing with a 97 V-10. Bent push rods at 700 kilometers. Dealer got approved for an engine swap from a new 96 on the lot. No power, 3 mpg and I was losing business fast hauling bikes. Figured out wrong computer. DC approves a new 97 engine cuz the 96 had different software. DC rep was at the dealership when I was being told a new crate engine was on the way. They put the new engine in in 36 hours from the agreement. Truck had no power and stalled a lot. DC bought it back and paid the difference to put me in a new 97 Cummins similarily equipped.
I was only balistic once.
I ordered a 98 5 spd, sold the 97 auto and made out real well in the long run. DC even gave me a $1,000.00 credit for MOPAR stuff.

Dang there I go again...off topic.
