Interior lights/electrical

A while back I had an issue with my interior lights and door chime. Long story short, when you open the door the interior lights usually stay on for a couple of minutes. Same thing with the chime when you leave the keys in the ignition. Mine, after about 2-3 seconds the lights go out and the chime quits. Very annoying when you are trying to get something out of the truck at night. You can hit the unlock on the fob or open and shut the door and the lights will come back on for about 3 more seconds.

Any idea's on how to reset or change the time out function for this.

My '06 model has done the same thing before. Disconnect both batteries for a few minutes to allow everything to discharge. Reconnect batteries and see if it's back to normal. Pretty sure the dealer can reprogram a fix as well, but I prefer to stay away from there.

I don't know if there is an ambient light sensor on the dash or not that would set the timer for night lighting or not. But in the overhead menu there is a lighted approach feature that may or may not help. Seems to me it doesn't think the door is open.
