Installation of Super Lift Speedo convertor
I just installed a Super Lift Speed Sensor calibrator on my rig. The company has not yet tested this product on the 2003 and therefore doesn't include instructions for our vehicles. I completed my installation today and thought I'd pass on a couple of tips.

Wiring: Locate the ABS control module behind the driver side battery. Cut the white wire with orange stripe.

Alteration from instructions: Opposite of instructions, connect the green wire to the plug end and the yellow wire to the loom end.

Mounting box: I mounted the control box on the support beam behind and to the left (driver side) of the grill. This area is fairly protected from the elements and away from heat sources. It also allows you easy access to fine tune the unit later.

Final point: The product works great in my truck. The tuning instructions are however opposite from the instructions. i.e. I turn the screw counter-clockwise to increase the MPH being detected.

Highlights of the product: 1) It has two settings, therefore people who run two different sized tires merely flip a switch to correctly report speed with either tire. 2) It can be fine tuned with a GPS to report the exact speed you're traveling. 3) Since it corrects the digital signal being sent forward it corrects all the computer toys. i.e. the overhead computer now reports more accurate milage, etc.

commando,
Glad it worked out for you ;D I'm surprised a company the size of SuperLift could not have taken the time to test their product on the new Ram
Anyway, that's the way I'll do it when it comes time to upgrade the tires.

The Boss Hog
(relaxing in Florida ;D)

Re:Installation of Super Lift Speedo convertor
Yes, despite the direction that other thread was going, I feel comfortable that this was the best route. Due to a glitch when I ordered my truck it showed up with chrome rims instead of the alloy rims I'd payed for. Long story short, I wound up with two sets of rims for the price of one. I'm keeping the Michilens on one set for heavy towing (and therefore lowerer gearing). The second set wears a set of 315/70R17 BFG's. FYI, those measure out to an actual 33.5" but look "just right."
Re:Installation of Super Lift Speedo convertor
I had one of these before Xmas and was going to try it out. First thing I noticed was the wiring didnt match up. Thought about that and called to see how much a new abs controller was, turns out 1500 dollars. I decided to send it back. I figured it would probably work but didnt want to do a trial and 1500 dollar error installation.
