HVAC Mode Selector Problem

After reading through multiple posts about these issues, I can't decide which one is the issue with mine. The air speed control **** works (hear the fan just fine), the temperature change works, but nothing happens when I turn the mode selector ****. Air just barely blows out of all the positions at the same time, no matter what the speed of the fan is, or where the mode selector is placed.

Any help?

Don't know if it's a door issue, **** issue, or actuator issue?

This is on an 06 Mega.

Most likely a door issue

I saved this link from a previous post of all the HVAC issues, http://www.heatertreater.net/index.htm.

Good Luck

for many years, HVAC was simple and effective on many cars.

now, the Dodge HVAC system is infamous for it's over-engineered unreliable solution.

it's the achilles heel of these trucks. do ALL the doors when you do it. and do it once

i was back in mine tonight.

I pulled the blower motor out and sure enough there was a door laying over top of it not allowing sufficient air flow. That was my issue, I just didn't have enough air pressure to feel it changing locations.

So one day I will pull this thing apart and put All new doors in it, just a matter of time.

Oh and by the way, if anybody else is having the same problem it was a 10 minute temporary fix.

Did Dodge ever fix the blend door problem? My 08 is doing this no real air out of anywhere other than around the door. It would seem that people would file a class action on a known defect. I drive a lot of wash board dirt gravel road and figure I shook it once too many causing the door failure. Is there any one making a better after market kit as I see alot of work pulling that unit out and would Dodge parts just fail again?

The following attachment contains the alternative to stock Mopar replacement parts.

Heater Blend Door

I have an 04.5 and I recently noticed the heat would go warm, then cool off, blow a little stronger sometimes thean others. I brought it to dodge and they are replacing the heater core and the blend door under my extended warranty. I was told by the service manager that this is a very very common problem with these trucks. My buddy took his apart and fixed it himself and says it didn't take that long at all.
