how to install lights

okay I got some lights to mount on the bottom of my cab should i just bolt the right to the pinch weld or i was kinda thinking about take a long piece of metal an bolting them to it then bolting it the truck so i dont have to put a bunch of holes in my truck..any ideas

I would limit the amount of holes in the truck. Each hole is a chance for rust. I would start with a stainless steel strip to mount the lights to and go from there.

You could also use a strip of aluminum too. Probably easier to find also.

I agree with the strip of aluminum...

As far as wiring them up there are a few different ways to do it. Easiest being tapping into fuse box for your power and adding a switch in the cab. If you want them to come on with the parking lights find the wire that is hot out the back of the switch when the lights are on and use that to trigger a relay and use the relay to power your lights that way your not trying to draw all the extra current through the headlight circuit.

well got them on they was pretty easy to install they look really nice after dark lol not the best looking during the day but guess ill get used to them.wish i new how to post pics

Upload the picture to photobucket and use the link they give you to post on here... Fairly easy once ya do it once and figure it all out.

How did you end up wiring them up?

I have them temporarily wired in to the trailer running lamps...they look greatwill try an post pics later thanks for the help

Haha, I know how you feel I hate when my phone doesn't do what I want it to!

Best way I found using a phone is to download the photobucket app and use that to get the URL you need. If ya haven't lost all hope after that and want the pics up ill give ya my email address and upload them for you haha.
