to run spacers instead of changing the front suspension to level the truck? I dont do a lot of off roading, just hunting every now and then. lets do a scale 1-10 ten being the worst for just running the spacers.

Im running daystar 1.5" spacers with NO problems at all. Im not an off roader, but drive on dirt roads at the ranch all the time. My only regret is that I didn't go with the 2 or 2.5". Im thinking about changing to bigger ones!

I have 2" spacers and have had no ill effects at all with them. But I don't do much in the way of off roading. Just on desert roads.

if you don't take any rough stuff at speed, spacers are fine. longer front shocks should be done at the same time, but if you're not real happy about your ride, you can use 2" longer replacement coil springs instead of the spacers. they start at around $200 for off the shelf stuff, and go up in price from there.

No prob on the spacers here. Keep in mind, though, that a 2" spacer WITHOUT an adjustable track bar, will shift your front axle about 1/4" towards the driver's side. No real big deal - that's just how a trackbar works. As the axle drops downwards, it has to slide slightly to the left because that's where it's bolted on. I've had my 2" spacers on for months now, no alignment yet. Normal treadwear pattern, still tracks straight on the highway with no hands on the wheel.

Correct me if I'm wrong (I know someone will) the 2wd's don't have a track bar.
