Got a set of MOPAR chrome tube steps for Christmas so I of course ran out to put em on the truck who cares if it's raining! I'm missing 2 out of the 6 brackets! Curious if anyone else had a similar problem, I just know this is gonna be a pain at the dealership! Theren't any part numbers for the brackets so hopefully they'll give me parts from a new set, wish me luck!

 

They may not be needed. My Dad has an 03 that has the 3 brackets on each side, my 05 steps only have 2 brackets on each side, no place to even mount the 3rd bracket either. I thought as you until I checked the step itself for the mounting holes, there were none. Maybe there is another part # for the steps with 3 brackets. All I know is Dad and I bought ours from the same dealer and I asked for steps just like his, they looked up the part # they got him and ordered me a set. I was a little bummed I didnt get 3 brackets but they hold my 220lbs pretty well.

I did consider that, but there are 3 set of holes on the steps. It seems like I'm missing the middle and rear bracket on the drivers side, pretty crummy instructions and parts description from MOPAR though. Makes me miss my F-250 steps.

 

bbh,Do You have the oval tube steps with black cast aluminum brackets?If so they only supply 4 brackets now not six as the directions show.Just 2 fronts and 2 rears.They eliminated the middle brackets.I install these at work all the time and they got me also when they changed to 4. Rob.
