help me decide quick!

OK, two deals going.
1. mega drw slt 07, 2,500 miles, 25 months remaining FW. $31450

2. mega drw laraime decked out 07, 37,000 miles. seller did not tell me about the turbo, kitty, and engine control mod being replaced. I found this out my self. $30100

I love my 06 and the 5.9 but would like the 6 speed tranny and laraime but nervous about the 6.7?

Give me some feed back.

Personally, I would keep your 06 with the 5.9. I like the 6 speed also but not at the cost of the 5.9's for the 6.7

Love the 06, but with 3 kids in the back seat I am tired of getting kicked in the back. I also pull a good size 5th wheel in the mountains and would like the DRW.

I understand about the kids and your back, I got three myself. You could get the DRW and than get a long bed installed for your 5th wheel. There is a company in Utah that does a conversion but it is not cheap, I think is around 10K.

Hope this helps.

I am extremely happy with my Megacab. I think you will be too. There's a ridiculous amount of room back there. I don't pull a fiver though....

But... would the 6.7 that has already had problems with 37,000 miles be a headach or go with the 5.9 2,500 miles trusted and true?

I wouldn't buy the the 6.7L out of warranty even though it has the six speed auto and exhaust brake which is far better than the 48RE. I'd look for a lower mileage 07-08 MC with the 6.7L automatic.

You'll love the MC with the kids though. Get the rear entertainment center, if possible, for some peace and quiet.

Keep the 5.9.......Not worth loosing money over....

Take the money that you would of lost and upgrade the tranny. Big, Big difference. That is what I did.

Oh yeah, you will be putting a Southbend clutch/flywheel kit in to replace that sorry dual mass flywheel setup.

I have a 5th wheel that I pull all over the place with my MegaCab, have backed it up some steep hills into tight places, it does just fine. All that is required is paying attention to where the cab is with respect to the 5th wheel.

When it comes time to replace the clutch, the southbend is a no brainer, but the stock clutch does an excellent job.

If the 2007 has a 5.9 and the 6-speed I'd be all over it. You can add the DVD and many of the Laramie features if they are a must to your needs.
