Think about a laptop with as large a screen you want (15-17 inches), with a gps receiver and laptop software, like Delorme. Blue tooth conections will minimize wires. Mounts are available to tie the laptop into the truck.

The garmin 7200 has a 7 in screen, which I think is about as big as you can get in a stand alone GPS unit. These are very easy to use.

I have a Lowrance iWay 500c that works very well. Has a clear, bright 5" screen that's easy to see with it on the center of the dash. When I bought it it was the largest available, other than a laptop computer, which would just get in my way. Now there are a few out there even bigger.

Garmin makes the best personal GPS out there, but a 7" screen sitting on your dash is going to be huge. You may not need one that large. I suggest you look at them in person before buying.

Good luck!

Garmin Zumo.... Made for motorcycles and has a very easy to see screen(visible in direct sunlight). Has a "cager" hookup that has a built in speaker and suction mount.
