Which fuse to pull so truck cant start?
I know the time somebody tried to break into my ford ranger in 2000 I was very mad and felt violated. I had left the keys in it with the doors locked as usual since I was working Law enforcement duties at the time and if I had to get up at night in the dark it was easier to just jump in and take off without having to deal with keys. I just tapped the remote door opener and the door opened and I got in a went. Well this idiot broke off my window visor and messed up the seal prying with a hanger and pressing the door buttons that are on the arm rest. Little did he know that the door locks were re designed so that the doors only opened with keys, the handle, or the remote. They quickly gave up and moved 2 cars down from mine which was none other than a dodge ram and succeeded

CTD is depressing but is no doubt totally correct. These thiefs now days are pretty good But I do like fvx22s idea of a dummy fuse. It might slow down the casual thief or joy rider.
Why not just pull both batteies ground cable and tuck or tape them up and out of the way or folded back onto the cable. That way you are not draining your batteries and they can not start the truck since the batteries are disconected.
Not to metion it would look like the batteries are still there.
Another thing if you can, just remove the batteries while you store your truck. If you take away the power source then the truck will not start. The only draw back would be the ECM and stored codes or settings.
I will admit, if someone wants your truck they are going to get your truck and will know what kind of security system you have and how to overide it. Just like in the Nickolas Cages's Gone in Sixty Seconds movie.

The fuse idea is great. Instead of pulling the fuse or putting a bad one in the hole just snap one of the prongs off a good fuse and put it back in the hole. No thing to show why it won't start unless they pull the fuse. There's probably several fuses that would prevent starting so every thief is going to have to know all of them.

I have a friend that installed a security switch like you find in a door jam of a regular home security system and wired it to the ignition... the truck would only start if there was a magnet in the cup holder that the switch was in.... pretty brilliant idea.... He left his keys in the vehicle and put the magnet in the other cup holder >>> You just had to know what to do or you were not getting that thang!! It was a Ferd Exploder so I wouldn't want it but it was still a great security idea....
