fuse box

how does the fuse box open on the CTD? there look to be lines in the way preventing it from opening. i wanted to ask you guys before i bend the lines to open the box.

The fuse box cover has a thumb screw on top. Loosen the screw and top lifts off.

which fuse box has a thumb screw. i am looking at the one right next to the drivers side battery, is this not the correct one?

yea thats the correct one. Just loosen the top thumb screw and slide it out from under the wires, it doesn't have to be lifted straight up much at all...

i know this is silly but i dont know how to open this fuse box. i have noo thumb screw like you are refering too.

There are two tabs at the end of the cover nearest the engine, pull them toward the fender and pull up. Some have been sort of stuck shut and you have to pull with some force.

ok i got it open but cant see the wiper fuse, do you know which one it is?

oh and i think they changed the fuse box because my number 4 fuse says "AISIN TRANS CONTROL"

There is no wiper fuse. They just use the same box and cover for cab and chassi to save money and simplify things.

are you saying there is not more fuse for the wipers in the 06?

it apperas they have changed the fuse back from 05 to 06.
