Fuel-operated cabin heater

Today I got an '07 Dodge Ram brochure in the mail. One of the Mopar accessories listed is a fuel-operated cabin heater. It is suppose to provide suplemental heating without having to idle. I was wondering if anyone has this option and how well it worked.

I used that brand in germany and absolutely loved it...it heats the engine also to eliminate cold start. I don't feel the need for it in texas tho but can speak only good about their systems.

awesome systems. I know many people that have them...don't like the timer options or lack of of self activating on/off, can't just park it and have it come on when "it" needs to. Remote has very very short range, and a pain to program, but other than that I want one.

I had the Mopar Espar installed on my truck and I absolutely love it. I can't always plug my truck in and with Espar it starts no problem and the cab is fairly warm. The coldest we've seen so far this winter where I work is -38C, which is under -25F I believe. The timer is also very easy to use.

What distance are you getting with your remote??? A friend is down to 50 feet at 40 below.

I work on call in winter, so the timer won't always work for me. I want to pull into my drive/hunting/fishing spot and click it on, and a built in thermostat(which they already have built in monitor temps to protect it from overheating) keeps my truck warm, and ready if I get a call.

Not knocking them, they just need to move into this century
