Ihad an 00 with 150k on the clock and 500 plus hp. the sterring was junk, interior sucked...but all in all I loved it and wish I hadnt sold it.

I do LOVE my 05 though. Much more solid and refined. Mileage is better. Easier to build HP!

 

I traded my 01 for this 06 i have now and i must say i would take my 2nd gen back in a heartbeat. Dont get me wrong the 3rd gen runs a heck of a lot better but in the end i dont think the extra money im shelling out for this 3rd gen is worth it.

 

Pretty much all the reasons why I like the 3rd gen better than my old 2nd gen.

 

Actually I miss my 1st Gen.It was a 1993 W250 club cab.Tan interior.Liked the seats,console,AC,12 valve etc.It drove great and looked great.Had a D.C.paid for repaint due to paint peeling.Had minor tranny tweaks with a aftermarket torque converter.Engine had a 14cm turbo housing,Banks inter cooler,Banks 4 inch exhaust and I got a set of 42horse injectors that were used in equipment in Brazil.Ran and pulled great.BUT it was loud,road rough and even with engine goody s towed nowhere near as well as my 3rd.gen. 3rd much better pulling,stopping,handling etc.I sold my W250 with only 125k on it.I got 2.5 times NADA for it.It had CHARACTER !
