Equipment power-Help!

Hey,
I have removed a portion of my lower dash and I am installing a scanner/cb and switch box all mounted together..

Question: are you guys running your wires to the fuse block in the engine compartment? If not, where are you hooking up your wires to power a CB/Scanner, etc ???

Thanks !!!

BTW - its for a 2007 mega cab.

I have run power straight from the battery on all my aftermarket accessories.

According to the owners manual a CB should be wired directly to the battery with the fuse as close to the battery as possible. Negative should be to the chasis with no fuse.
