Engine hours

I dont know if this should be here or in the engines and drive train. Move it if you need to.
I was wondering if anybody knows how to reset the hours on the instrument cluster, not on the over head hours. For what i do it would be nice to be able to get a total and then be able to break it down into smaller incriments. Any info would be help full.

Not a option on the trip/hour run time. Beast to break it down using the over head one.The trip/hour one the DC reps use also.

One thing they use it for is to compare the Idle Time against the Total Engine hours. Then they can tell you that you let the engine idle to much.

they compare it to the total engine hours, or the total miles. If so how do you see the idle hours???

i think that it has to be on the total odometer reading not the trip also when you hold it down for the 5 secs. But not for sure
