The Emblem

How do you get the Cummins emblem off of the fender? Is it glued or rivited or what? And then how do you put it on elswhere?

all the badges are glued on i just removed all except the lone star ones and let me tell you the adhesive on dodges are alot stronger that the ones on fords. about how to attach them somewhere else id guess u would have to clean them off and get some good 3m double sided tape and reinstall. hope this

hair dryer to heat, fishing line used like dental floss between the emblem and metal to "cut" the emblem off, then a 3M stripe removal wheel to remove the adhesive...maybe some WD40 or Goo Gone to remove the residue

i disagree about the dodge tape being stronger than fords. i was able to remove my dodge emblems and the chrome body molding using 80lb tuff line in less than 5 minutes even without heating it up! my ford took alot more work than that to get em off. I will say it did take me 1 1/2 hrs to get all the tape and residue off!!! but actually removing the emblems was easy.

If you get the right stuf its easy....there is a product in the parts stores - I believe its called Goo Gone Automotive. Its made for taking off decal residue. WD-40 also works good too.

I disagree with this disagreement.

I will be performing a side by side test this weekend in a controlled environment and will post my findings.

06 Inferno, where in angleton are you? I am from there.. wow small world. If you ever need work on your truck or somewhere to do work on it look up my dad. Steve lucarino, he has a shop out on CR36. I am out of state with the uscg now, hope to be home soon though after trransfer season.

I second and third the vote for the eraser wheel. It took me about an hour and a half to get all the goo off using Goo Gone when I took my Ram 2500 off the side. I got an eraser wheel after that and did my entire tailgate in an hour. I got mine at my local automotive paint store. It was $11. Its made by Astro Pneumatic. The hardest emblem to remove by far is the Ram Logo under the tailgate handle.
