Electrical problem. Gurus???

Repeat after me: always disconnect the batteries when messing around with the electrical!!!

I hooked up my fuel pressure gauge in a SRT-10 pillar mount. Works fine (well, about 7lbs at idle). The problem came when I went to hook up the lights to the gauge. I have a steering pod with EGT and PYRO so I tapped into the wire coming off my headlight switch to those two guages. When I hooked it up, problem! My intrument cluster lights, my dome lights, and my cd player have quit working. I disconnected the wiring and checked fuse 51 in the box (OK) but still no lights. Thought maybe I fried the headlight switch so I replaced it. Same situation. My fogs, headlights, and blinkers are working fine, but the indicators for the blinkers on the cluster are not working either. Help!!!

Double check the wire still has power coming to it. Double check that it is being fed by positive and not ground.

Make sure you didn't turn the dimmer/domelight switch off.

GCSSR, you da man!

I had looked at fuses twice, but after reading your post, I got out my ohm meter and checked 18 again. Visually looked ok but ohm meter said bad. I got a strong light and finally saw the break. My CD player is still on the fritz but I had it out a few days ago. Maybe I pulled a wire on it. The radio works on AM and FM but does not register the CD at all. I cannot find a fuse specific to it. Will have to do some research but all lights are working properly. Thanks for saving me an embarrassing trip to the dealer.

Where can find a layout of fuses and what they control?

You can download the wiring diagrams from Dodge for just about anything electrical. This has power distribution sections on all fuses.
