My buddy owns a stereo shop and gave me a temporary box. The amp is mounted under the driver seat with a "bass ****" mounted on the seat frame. The box is a sealed cheapy that sits behind the left rear seat, (the single seat), lost just a little of the recline function but not all of it. Probably going to pull out the storage behind the rear seats and put in 2 seperate vented 12" boxes. They will vent toward the center of the truck and sit low enough so the seats will still recline. I don't use the storage area anyway, thinking of building a tray on top of the sub boxes for stuff that won't rattle. with the sub i can turn down the base on the stock speakers and it sounds so much "fuller". I like it alot more.

I bought this one from JL Audio...

http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_e...=9&prod_id=422

It was only ~$250 from Ebay and sounds as good as 1 10" can be expected. I had to remove one of the latch things on the back cab wall but it fits in there perfectly. The seat still reclines enough to be comfortable, but definitely not all the way. I can still open the passenger side storage bin without it interfering too. I'll have to get some pics up.

the box i used can easily be slid over to access the storage bin behind the left rear seat and doesn't interfere with the longer passenger side storage bin lids

how difficult (or easy) is it to install a subwoofer that ties into the stock infinity stereo system? Will i need an additional amplifier, or is the stock Infinity's stero power output adequate for the job?

see i like those bins and would most prolly use them... again i apologize if im asking questions like a dummy but my trucks not here yet so i cant play with her... but wat i was going to ask was... how about space UNDER the front driver and passenger? any room there? i dont have the power seats so shouldnt there be some room? i dont wanna lose the recline or the bins so i was just wondering...

of course i could just be patient and wait for Betsy to get here and then figure something on my own... hehe...

There won't be room under the front seats, my amp barely fit. You wouldn't lose as much recline if you go with a 10 inch sub and pulled of one of the bag hanger thingies (technical term) from the back of the cab. Plus you could slide it out of the way to get into the bins. You can't place anything under the rear seats, they won't kneel to the floor if you do. As far as hooking up the amp, I would suggest a install kit, unless you have done it before. They also make a converter box to tap into the rear speakers to get the RCA's (signal) for the amp. Any decent stereo shop will have both.
Unless you want to rattle the windows and the kids brains, a single 10" would sound fine.
