I have a 2004 2500, the door seal has a big split in it where the door rubs it, I see there is a TSB 23-049-05 for fixing the problem. My truck is out of warranty, will the dealer still fix the problem. Thanks

 

I think you will have to cover it. If it was a recall they would. I would call them and see what they would do for you..

 

Most of the bulletins will say at the bottom, "covered within the provisions of the warranty." Yours would no longer be covered, but if you have a good relationship with your dealer, you may be able to talk them into some goodwill, as it was a common failure.

 

I have an 05, same issue and they told me it was a recall. They replaced at no cost. I was over the 3-36.

 

Well there wasn't a recall on those.Dealer was being nice.Recalls are 99% eaither saftey releated or emissions releated.
