Some of the other updates are the 4" turbo to tailpipe, no EGR, Cat, increased towing capacity, extended oil changes (15K under ideal conditions), three phase injection pulse to help quieten the rattle, bigger airbox, and many more that just are not coming to mind at the moment.
Neither the 555 or the 600 have EGR, and the HO also has 15k oil change under schedule A. The SO I think listed a shorter oil change. The 03/04's did have 3.5" pipe from the turbo outlet to the muffler, and I think there was also a change to the radiator shroud and to the TPS.

In 04.5 came the 600 (325hp) that was 60 state legal and has a cat. The HO seems to have gotten a bit better milage than the 600.
Where did we get 10 extra states?

I agree about being the only poster. All the posts I've seen about '04 vs '04.5 re, mpg, say the '04 is better. I see lots of posts about having problems with the three phase injection on the '04.5. Some folks actually say the '04 is faster stock. No personal experience with that. One difference not noted by any previous poster is the on the '04 the fan shround is mounted to the radiator whereas on the '04.5 it's mounted to the engine.

I think the extra 10 states must be the "New World Order", i.e. Mexico, Guatemala, etc who are sending lots of their citizens to us. I know, this isn't the place for political comments.
