Guys, I'll get interested when they offer a Class 5 with a 10 speed. F350 and the 06 Dmax have higher GCWR and GVWR. ks

Why does the 6.7 have less hp than the 5.9 . Also the weight ratings do not sound that great. It's ben a long wait so we'll have to see if they screwed this up. Can't wait.

Fellows, I fell into this trap when I first saw this. I thought the description was for the new 4500/5500 trucks, but after reading it again, this seems to be the 3500 chassis cab setup, so the GCWR and GVWR wouldn't be that different from the existing 3500, I guess.

Engine ratings - well, that's another matter.

we'll if these are rated for commercial duty and the ratings are that close what does it say about our trucks, over rated or are the comm one under rated. Not sure how to look at it.

As far as ratings are concerned, I checked up on the ratings of GM and Ford trucks. The Chevy's rating on GVW is 12,000lb and the Super Duty Ford 350 is 12,500. These are for the commercial cab and chassis not pickups. So it appears that Dodge is right in the ballpark on their 3500 models. The 3500 models are supposed to appear first then be followed by the 4500/5500 soon after.
