Hi all......I just finished searching this forum for code P-0633 with no luck. I just finished trading trucks and this code is showing up on the new truck that I just purchased. Not sure if this is something that I should be concerned about or not. Anyone have any idea what this code means?? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the link. Not sure what a "skim secret key" is but it sure doesn't sound serious.

 

Lots of trucks will have this code. Dealerships either major or private will sometimes lose the keys. When programming the new key, the vehicle will not recognize it and will throw this code. After the key is programmed, lots of guys forget to go back and clear the code. Also if the PCM is unplugged and the key is on, it could give you this code.

Mine started cutting out and running like crap so I pulled over and it almost died, and Attitude monitor was cutting on and off so I killed it and restarted and it has run fine since but I pulled the same code. Knock on wood that was the only prob I have ever had with mine with 25,300 in less than 9mo.
