Chicken Lights........
Chicken Lights........
I am thinking about having them put on my truck. Should I buy them from the dealership and have them install it? I know you can buy the kits online but I dont feel comfortable drilling into my roof at all. Just looking for a little advice here. Thanks
Myself and Luvnacumns just did that project. You can buy the oem kit online. If you checkout Luvnacumns sig he has a link to his "how to" write-up. From what I here the dealer will charge an arm and leg to install them. Check out the write up then decide. It really isn't that hard to do once you get past the drilling part.

also I check out that post from Luvnacumns......awesome post but I still dont think I would be comforatable doing that work. I wonder if I bought the kit somewhere online if dodge would still be able to install it?
I guess it's an option on the SRW now but I know they'll still be required by law on the DRW. Yup, just another way to cut costs a little, maybe next theyll start removing badges like they did on the fords
Hmmmmmm.....
I always thought chicken lights were the Honda Turn signal lights that us Chicken Haulers used to mount on our West Coast mirrors (beaver lights) and the corner of Texas bumpers?
Properly positioned, a mirror mounted (beaver) light would enhance your night time driving safety by lighting up 4 wheeler interiors.
Fenders, battery boxes, fuel tank straps, bottom of yer cab...wasnt no place safe from them Chicken Lights.
There ain't no feelin like Chicken Mobilen
