Certifit body parts any good? Need tailgate

...and the price seems too good to be true when compared to OEM tailgates. Anybody have any experience with a tailgate purchased through Certifit? Been trolling craigslist for a while to no avail. Thanks.

Check your local area for a truck utility body installer.
He'd probably have several he'd like to have gone.

There's also one for sale in our classified section.......

Too good to be true prices and they don't stock parts for an F150. At least not front bumpers. Seems to me there's a prety good market for front bumper covers on the best selling 1/2 ton truck!
I've used certi fit parts before. Fine for their cost, but sometimes require some work to get a good fit up.
Tailgate is one thing I wouldn't get a CHinese re-pop of though, unless you never use it.
My work truck got a new cheap tailgate once. Noticed that it felt like it only weighed about 5lbs. Then 2nd time I stepped off a loading dock onto it with a 90# bag of cement on my shoulder, it buckled right in the middle and sent me to the ground!
Get a used OEM tailgate from a junkyard or somewhere.

I've used them before for non-crucial body parts such as fenders or bumper covers for cars I was flipping for a quick buck. Nicknamed Sortafit. I would definitely look elsewhere for a tailgate

efil4ynot, thats the same thing we called them...sorta-fit. I went to buy 2 bronco fenders from them and they were cracked right out of the box. If this is a work truck and not show you can get away with it. If you take pride in its appearance..dont do it.

Thanks folks. I do a lot of ATV on and off-loading so am not real excited about the cheaper metal. I have the guts, just need the tailgate, mine didn't react well to being backed into a tree. Saw that one in the classifieds too, thanks.
