Calling the wiring gurus!
Calling the wiring gurus!
I have the RAZ Infinity system in my truck, and got the bright idea to install a bluetooth kit. I looked into a bunch of them, and decided on the Parrot 3200LS, since it seemed to get the best reviews. I also picked up what was supposed to be the right wiring harness for it, so that I would not have to cut into any wires. WRONG!
So the wiring harness I got was for the 4 speaker, non-amped system. I guess I have downstream amp(s)? So here's my dilema. The more research that I do, the more I find that people are not having luck with wiring harnesses, and there are not installers that know these systems since they are not sold widely here. The last thing I want to do is have some 17 year old hack up my wiring until they get it right. I also do not want to do the same. So here's my question:
It seems all I need to really worry about is the mute wire, the power leads, and using the correct speaker wires to make the system work through the stereo. The system supplies 3 sets of wires for hookup to speakers. One for wiring straight to speakers, but that seems to result in problems b/c of the infinty amp problem in my truck (and all those with the amps). Then there are 2 other sets that are line out, presumebly for an amp input. The problem is that Parrot instructions are not detailed. Can anyone share experience with these things, and / or give me some advice?
I cashed in American Express points on two of these things (also wanted to put one in the 04 Z71 Suburban [which also has issues b/c of the OnStar and such]), so returning them wont help me get a different system - and I really like the idea of the synced phone book and streaming MP3 music off my SmartPhone.
HELP?
