burning oil smell?

Just traded my old 2003 for a different 2003...long story. Anyway, my "new" one sometimes has a strong burning motor oil smell coming from under the hood. I cannot find any leaks anywhere. I have had the truck for about a week, and I have only smelled it 3 or 4 times. Any ideas? Should I just bring it to the dealer? Thanks.

crankcase vapours from the vent tube... check oil level... might be a bit high, also might have rotella in the sump... it's got a strong smell.. you normally smell the vapours when engine is warm and sitting at a stop sign/lights [little/no air movement around vehicle]

That sounds exactly like what I am having. I plan on dropping the oil this weekend and going with Mobil so I will see if that helps. Thanks.
