Build it and we will come

If Dodge built a Ram 4500HS (Hot Shot) with the new 325/600 Cummins HO
Complete compliment of gauges, pyrometer, turbo boost, trans & differential temp.
Engine Exhaust Brake
6spd trans w/cooler
2spd differential
19.5 wheel/tire
True air ride suspension
Dual fuel tanks

Would it out sale Ford F-450/F-550?
Chevrolet/GMC 4500/5500?
What do you think?

4500HS (or5500?)

I'll take one for delivery spring of '06. Would prefer it if it came in various frame lengths (need a sleeper, dont want to give up the cab room). Now if DC would listen to some of us "maniacs" (?truckiacs?).

-Eric

on edit- I don't know if it would outsell GM or Ford but I would think it would be a better truck.

You would like it, but for a truck like that, there just isn't enough market to warrant it's creation. But a more generic 4500 series that mimicked the Ford 450, would appeal to a much larger market and could be a real plausible option. As specific as you would like your truck, it will always be a aftermarket add-on. Good luck.

Doesn't DC already make one like that? It's got a Freightliner badge on the front of it.
I don't believe they would outsell Ford because of the fleet marketing that Ford does. DC fleet sales are a joke compared to Ford.

But I believe that DC could take this market share if attacked correctly. But I own a DC and love it...

Have worked on a many of Powerstrokes, repair cost are EXPENSIVE!!!

I had 7- F-350 4X4 Crew Cab in Russia on a project. Seen right quick I could not afford to own one.

As for Duramax Isuzu makes a great engine, all experiences I've had overseas with them, they are tough! But in the hands of Chevrolet they will always be bring up the rear.

As for Freightliner and Sterling producing this vehicle it is viable, thought not likely.

It just like the Ram 1500 DC should offer a diesel engine in that as well.

Anyway thanks for you reply I think it would be a sweet machine!!!
