BUILD DATE

Build date 3/25/03. ETA 4/15/03 3500 HO, SLT, QC, SRW, AUTO, 410, LONGBED, power seats. I don't have the vin# yet from dealer i will call them 3/17. Hope they are close to their dates? Once I get truck what is the limit on first TOW? Is there a break-in period?

Re:BUILD DATE

Phonse happy to hear you ordered a new truck.. If you send me the order # I can get you a shipping date from the factory. Also I can follow the build process as it is built. Also check the HP on the engine with the auto trans. Last I heard the 6 sp only had 305 hp 555 torque..????? To be sure check with dealer.. If you are interested in the other info on the build e-mail me at mmyers@nothnbut.net I'll try to get all the info and e-mail it to you...Good luck with the new truck

Re:BUILD DATE

I thought you could only get a 3500QCLWB in a drw??

As far as break in- I understand it to be no towing the first 500 miles then 500 miles towing at 50mph max for the next 500 miles. This is probably for the rear-end drivetrain as we know the CTD is only getting broken in at about 100K! ;D

Re:BUILD DATE

GRRRRRRR, I ordered a 2500 instead of a 3500 for this very reason. (I asked) I do know you still can't "build" a 3500QCLWBSRW on the dodge.com site.

Why does the typical salesperson at a dealership know less about their product than say, the people here? This is a "5 star" dealer, whatever that means. I talked to 2 diff salesmen, neither knew that there was a new 48re tranny, maybe because they only had 47's on their lot? I asked for the vehicle order number when they told me my order was placed, the guy says, "oh that takes a couple weeks to generate" I had to inform him that wasn't how it works. They also swore up and down the rebate was $1,000 and not 1,500, I had to prove that too. Morons!!!

Re:BUILD DATE

PwrRam, where have you been ? There is a new 48RE 4-speed auto available with both Cummins engines.

Re:BUILD DATE

Jeff OH, when you build a 3500 on Dodge.com you start out with a dually and in the options you select the SRW option. Just thought you'd want to know.

Morons!!!
[/quote]I came with-in a wisker of ordering a DUALLY which I really didn't want but i wanted a 1-ton truck . When the ( SALES MANAGER ) not my salesperson asked what I wanted DUALLY OR SRW BEFORE I could ANSWER my salesperson said " IT ONLY COMES IN A DUALLY " he showed her that she was wrong. Man am I glad she wasn't there at the time I came in to talk to her, otherwise I would have exploded finding out later that I could have gotten a SRW. Also the ( GVWR ) PRINTED in the dealers books are wrong for the 3500 SRW AND DUALLY, check them out. There is no way a SRW ( GVWR ) IS THE SAME AS A Dually! MY .02
