Brake Light Problem

I Have Noticed At Times When I Get Out Of My Truck My Brake Lights Stay On For A Moment Sometimes I Pull Out The Pedal To Make Sure The Lights Go Out. I Notice It Too When I Am Going Down The Road On My Brake Controller The Light Will Stay Lit Up For A Few Moments. Is This A Problem? Any Suggestions?

Mine does the same. Its the brake switch. I haven't bothered replacing mine yet, but the part is pretty cheap.

Mine did it when I first bought it-was driving it back and wondering why the cruise control wouldn't set and why the car behind me was flashing their lights at me. I finally figured out what was going on at the next fuel stop, and did what you did, I pulled up the brake pedal and it went out. So I pushed the pedal all the way in with the truck on and released it, and haven't had a problem since (~2 years.)
