Brake light problem

some times when i stop the truck and let off the brake it sticks a little and the brake lights will stay on. i have to pull the brake peddle up to turn them off. anyone else had this happen and if so is it a easy fix like adjust something? Thanks,

I had this happen on a different vehicle....i ended up finding a long spring that gave me just enough tension to pull the pedal back up, but didn't increase the pedal pressure too much, and hooked it from the pedal to a hole in a metal bracket under the dash.

not an ideal setup, to be sure....but it worked.

Al lot of fellas are using a little felt "bumper" on the brake switch piston, like you would put on a cabinet door to stop that. Hasn't been too annoying to me yet, but tha's how I'll fix it when it does.
