box frame

hey guys can anyone tell me what year dodge started using the same frame on a 2500 and 3500? I'm kinda in a spot and need to know for sure.

I was told that in 1994 Dodge went to using 1 frame just different lengths, for all trucks. The 1/2 ton has the same frame as the 1 ton. From what I under stand the spring mounts in the rear are different and the front cross member.

Way off base...........although there was a light and heavy 1 ton.

The frames are different the one ton frame has a different part number then the three quarter and so on. If they were the same they would have the same number

2500/3500 frames are the same on 2nd and 3rd gens. I suppose a hole could be in a different spot or not be drilled for contact overload stops or something...but for purposes of this discussion, they are the same.

1/2 ton frames on both gens are most certainly very different.

on my '00 3/4 ton the frame is not boxed, this is why I ask the original question about third gen 3/4 and 1 ton frames if both are boxed and the only difference is a hole location or bracket then they will interchange correct?
