Alignment Guru Needed
Alignment Guru Needed
So, very long story short, I got a faulty steering gear from Redhead steering gear that demonstrated a memory steer feeling at about 5 degrees left and right of center. It wouldn't return to center. They warrantied the steering gear and sent me a new one. The new one is much better but now I have more resistance on the wheel while turning left and has a slight pull right depending on road camber. I got it re-aligned and had them set the caster to Thuren Fab specs and it was a little bit better. The wheel returns to center just fine but it's just harder to steer left than right. Before I blame my problem on another bad steering gear from Redhead, I want to make sure I rule out an alignment problem. My current alignment specs are listed below.
Left Front Camber: -.3
Right Front Camber: 0.0
Left Front Caster: 4.3
Right Front Caster: 4.1
Left Front Toe: .10
Right Front Toe: .11
Total Toe: .21
Steer Ahead: .0
Thrust Angle: .10
Can anyone offer any suggestions given the data above on adjustments that will correct the left turn resistance?

change the front tires side to side and drive it . if the resistance goes to the right, the problem is the tire. if the resistance is still to the left, the problem is the gear box. there`s NOTHING in the alignment specs that would cause your problem.
