Advice needed after collision
Sunday night on my way home from work I got rear ended by a drunk driver in a Honda accord. Initially the damage didn't look that bad as it looked like the bumper was pushed into the bed of the truck. Upon closer inspection there is a vertical crease in the bed in front of the right rear tire and the gap between the bed and the cab is one finger on the right side, and three fingers on the left side. The bed also hit the cab and damaged it too. The police said the drunk hit me at approx 45mph without ever touching the brakes.
With the damage that I described do you think the frame is bent? Is this something that can be repaired? My wife had a bad collision several years ago and we took it in the shorts with long term medical bills and a vehicle that was never the same again. I am hesitant in doing so, but am thinking I should hire an attorney to protect us so we don't eat it again like last time. I definitely don't want a half edit repaired vehicle. Any advice would be appreciated.

So did the other driver have insurance? If so they need to have your veh. repaired to pre-accident condition...if not your ins. company will take care of it , but you will probably end up having to pay your deductable.
As far as the damage goes , it`s very common for the frame to flex enough to have the bed hit the cab in a rear end collosion. Any qualified shop will put it on the frame machine and check it , and repair it if needed.
Sorry to hear of your bad luck , but from the sound of it , it can be repaired to as good as new , if a quality shop does the work.
