Not sure what other programming is necessary for the remote start. If you buy the Dodge remote start kit, it will have the fobiks with it that can perform the keyless entry functions, so you won't need to buy other fobiks. If the kit is like the other ones from Dodge, it will have the necessary programming info in the instruction sheet. I put the Mopar fog light kit on mine and it had all of the programming info at the end of the installation instructions. Let us know how you make out. I think Lee Parts shows the instructions for the kits on their website, if not, you can find them on the web.

Steve White Dodge has them for a pretty good price. Call Robert in parts at 800-779-3634. It says it's designed for the 2009 and up Rams, but my experience was that the front bumper is a little different on the 2010/2011 Rams and you will have to "modify" the brackets to mount the lights. I think it would just be easier to bend up a new tab to mount the light to. It wasn't hard to mount them but the mounting tabs didn't line up with the mounting points on the back of my bumper. If I would've had a scrap piece of flat steel, I would've just made up a new tab and used that instead. Plus, the lights will be slightly hidden behind your front license plate (if you have one), and I didn't want that to happen either. There were 2 tabs and holes already on the top part of the bumper that were perfect to hang the brackets from once I modified them. Again, I would just bend a new one from flat stock (all you'll need to do is make an "L" bracket). The convenient tabs on the bumper are just above and inboard from the factory tow hooks. Using these will put the lights between the tow hooks and the front license plate and look very nice. I would recommend getting the clear plastic covers for the lights as well. Numerous people have had a rock come up and break a light, including me. The covers are available from Hella (p/n 87988011). I got them from Amazon. I just ordered up a replacement light from Steve White Dodge. The hookup for the lights is real easy, and the headlight switch just pops out and the new one plugs right in. Just be aware that you will have to go to the dealer and have them programmed into the computer. EVERYTHING on these new trucks goes through the computer. I would have all the programming done at one time. I had the dealership turn my fog lights "on" before I installed the kit (I was there getting something else done). That way when I did install it, the truck would be ready. I installed the kit, and the lights turned on right away. Hope this helps. Let us know how you make out.

The ST trucks don't come with a fob to lock/unlock the doors?

That depends on whether or not the dealer ordered it with Keyless Entry or not. My truck did not come with a fobik because they didn't order it with Keyless Entry.....here's my earlier post:

That weird looking part that looks like the Mercedes key is where the chip is I guess. When I got the FOBIKS, I didn't have to change anything because the ignition lock was already formed like the Mercedes key. I hope all of that makes sense. it looks like this...http://www.autotransponder.com/2008_...chip_key__pod_ ....these were the keys that came with my truck....so i had to unlock the truck the old school manual way. At least I had power locks so we could just hit the buttons on the way out or unlock them after opening 1 door. My main reason for wanting keyless entry was that it was hard to fumble with things and try to find that door lock hole in the dark.

For those of you that got a dealer to add keyless for you, what did they charge? I have fobs on the way and was wondering if the dealers charged labor. According to the 2011 brochure the ST with the popular equipment group is supposed to come with keyless. Did chrysler just change that?

From what I understand, it all depends on whether or not the dealer ordered the ST with keyless or not. I looked at an ST that had keyless, so I thought it was part of that equip. group too. When I was researching the truck that I bought, it had the equip. group, but didn't have keyless. I asked the dealer about it and they said this truck didn't come with keyless. So once I did some research, I found out how to add it. I ordered the fobiks, took them to the dealer and had the procedure done. I'm so happy that I did. My dealer didn't charge me anything (I had the truck in there for a recall so they were already in the computer), but I have heard of dealers charging 1 hour labor or a flat programming fee. The important thing to remember is that if the dealer tells you it can't be done, they are WRONG. You can always ask them to try it and you will pay them when it works. The procedure MUST be performed in the order specified and done completely or else it will not work. Good luck

I already have the power locks so I am thinking if I get the transmitter, reciever and the remote itself I should be good to go. I have called a couple of local dealer parts dept.'s and I get "Huh?" in response when I ask them about it. One guy said "no there isn't anything out for the 2010 model trucks yet". Yea O.K., it looks to me like you have several of them out here on your lot with keyless entry. Anyway, if any of you have done this I would appreciate some insight if you have the time. I assume that if you can convert a 3rd gen with factory parts you should be able to do the same with a 4th gen. I have found the parts I think I need online at a mopar wholesale place, but I don't want to order a few hundred dollars worth of parts and not be able to put them to good use. Thanks in advance for any help you may offer, and if I can figure this out I will respond with my findings to possibly help others somewhere along the way.

I added an aftermarket alarm with Lock Actuators. The alarm came with remote start, but I have that part disabled since i have the 6 speed. But i can set the alarm, remove the keys, and get out and lock the truck while it stays running for the next 30 minutes. Works great in 105 degree summers, or 7 degree winters. cost about $450. I also made the shop install a small button for me to unlock / lock all the doors just like power locks.

chrisminx - I have a couple questions for you... ikeyless only shows FOBs for the 2010, is that what you bought for your 2011? I have the 2011 2500 ST, and I want to be able to use the keyless entry also. Did you take it to the dealer yet, and did it work? Thanks

Any update on this? I really want to do it...

My question is can you order the remote start kit since it has the FOBIK's and install that part first then do the remote start? No need to buy a set to just get another set in the remote start kit...

All, I got the keyless entry programmed on my truck. took the tech about 10 minutes. I ordered two fobiks from www.ikeyless.com. they are running a special where when you get 20% off if you buy two or more keys.

On the remote start, the remote start instructions say you must have keyless entry before remote start can be installed. just have the tech program the keys per the keyless entry intructions, then have them install the remote start parts, then reprogram the keys. it should be that simple.
