do you know, is there a special dilect grease you need to put on it? is there a way to reset the abs light? i only replaced one side, the other side i hade to take the sensor out so im wondering if i got some anti sieze on it. when i took it out there was a grease on it? i wiped it off so i didnt know if it needed something on it.
When you remove the sensor from the hub, two bad things can happen:
- when you reinstall the sensor, rust or gunk can get under the part that the screw goes through, and mess up the clearance between the sensor and the reluctor wheel. I usually buff off the mounting pad before I install the sensor.
- when you pull the sensor out of the hub, it's very common for the sensor to break and its plastic tip to stay lodged in the hole. It isn't very noticeable, unless you realize that you can see the copper windings of the sensor.

i had the same problem with mine if you could have broke the two wires shielded inside of it.on mine they broke as if they were cut inside the cable.but the outer shielding was fine... they are like 24 guage wiring. i would bet it lays in the left side. The FIRST thing i would do is pull the wheel and disconnect the wheel sensor use a volt meter and test resistance.if it reads a resistance it should be ok. if its open check all the cable for any damage. if none is found apply firm tension on the cable and slide your hand down it (note firm tension not a yank or trying to rip them apart) if you hit a area that feels like a rubber band that is where the break should be peel the insulation back and if thats your problem reattach with some good heat shrink marine style butt connectors tape accordindly and your problem should be history.
