8 passenger ram
8 passenger ram
just found out the family willl be getting bigger in about nine months
considering a mckinley customs sleeper conversion
the mckinley is a true conversion removing the rear of the cab and the front of the bed making a walkthrough three row seating cab area complete with custom upholstery and carpeting, sliding rear windows etc.
would this destroy the value of my truck. in the western rodeo world these conversions are pretty common. would an eight passenger ctd actually increase the value
what do you think. i need the conversion for the space and seating so i don't have much choice and at the moment the six door conversion is out of the question for dollars reasons. maybe in a year or two after the wife gets her phd and a full time job.

Hard to say in increase or decrease value. I'm thinking that by doing that, you may increase the value as it is a package done right compared to YOU trying to modify something (nothing against your abilities) but you may decrease the value as when it is time to sell it or trade it down the road, you are now limiting yourself to someone that would want or need that type of truck instead of just a 3500 that most people want.
Personally, I think it would be cool and worth it. There may be a market for those as I have heard many people here wondering about a 4500 or 5500 series from Dodge for those that NEED something that big.
